| Capt. John Uhr lost his battle with cancer just a few days shy of 49 years on this earth Dec. 30, 2010. He often spoke of what a wonderful life he had. He was happy fishing and hunting, so that's exactly what he did his entire life. Our mission is to raise money for organizations that were important to him [as well as all involved in putting on this prestigious event] and to celebrate his life year after year. This event will raise money for The American Cancer Society, The Texas Maritime Museum and The Humane Society and with your help, we will be able to successfully accomplish our mission.
